Are there any restrictions on importing remote controlled toys such as aircraft, boats and cars?
As a general rule, remote controlled items are subject to radio emission standards of the Federal Communications Commission. Importations of such products must be accompanied by an FCC declaration (FCC 740) certifiying that the imported device is in conformity with any one of the 9 conditions in 47 CFR 2.1204. Goods that are brought in temporarily for personal use must also meet import condition.
